1. Before contacting Support

Please include only the information needed to understand the problem:

  • Your WerkLog version and build number.
  • Your device model and iOS version.
  • A short description of what you did, what happened, and what you expected.
  • The exact error message, if one appeared.
  • Whether the issue affects local capture or only an optional online feature.

Do not send project names, addresses, Timeline text, photos, videos, scans, voice recordings, transcripts, credentials, access tokens, recovery passwords, or other personal data unless that specific information is necessary and you deliberately choose to share it.

2. Find your Version and Build

Open WerkLog > Profile > App Information. The installed Version and Build are displayed there and can be selected for copying. You can also find the same value in Profile > About & Support.

3. Basic troubleshooting

  1. Keep WerkLog installed and close and reopen the app.
  2. Check available device storage in iOS Settings.
  3. Check the relevant permission in iOS Settings for Camera, Microphone, Photos, Speech Recognition, Location, Reminders, or Notifications.
  4. For Apple Weather, cloud backup, Local AI model downloads, or diagnostic delivery, confirm that the device has an allowed network connection.
  5. For Google Drive or iCloud Backup, confirm that the intended provider is enabled in WerkLog Backup settings and that the correct account is available.
  6. If the problem continues, record the Version, Build, device model, iOS version, and exact error before contacting Support.

Important local data warning: Do not delete or reinstall WerkLog as a troubleshooting step unless you have a complete backup that you have confirmed can be restored. Uninstalling the app or removing its data may permanently remove local project content.

4. Diagnostic Feedback

If Support needs technical evidence, open WerkLog > Profile > Privacy & Diagnostics > Diagnostics. You can prepare a sanitized diagnostic package, review its summary, and decide whether to send it.

  • WerkLog never sends the package automatically.
  • Preparing a package does not send it.
  • You can delete a prepared local package instead of sending it.
  • A diagnostic package must not include project names, addresses, notes, photos, videos, scans, voice recordings, transcripts, credentials, or access tokens.
  • Only send a package when you understand the summary and want Support to receive it.

For the complete package contents, consent flow, retry window, and retention period, see the Privacy Policy.

5. Local data and backup safety

WerkLog is local-first. Support normally cannot see, restore, or remotely delete project data stored on your device. You can edit or delete local content inside the app. Removing WerkLog or its app data may remove local content, subject to iOS behavior and backups you control.

  • Support cannot recover local data that was deleted without a usable backup.
  • Support cannot recover a forgotten Google Drive backup recovery password.
  • Disconnecting Google revokes WerkLog access but does not delete existing hidden backup data.
  • Deleting local files after a verified backup should be done only through WerkLog's supported storage controls.
  • Never send a backup package or recovery password by ordinary support email.

6. What Support can access

Support can access only information you deliberately provide and a diagnostic package you explicitly approve for delivery. Support cannot browse your device, local projects, private iCloud database, hidden Google Drive backup area, Apple Account, Google Account, or Keychain.

Optional services such as Apple Weather, iCloud, Google Drive, Cloudflare, and Hugging Face are operated by their respective providers. Support can help identify the relevant WerkLog setting but cannot control an external provider account or restore credentials managed by that provider.

7. Privacy and data requests

For personal data actually received through Support, privacy correspondence, or approved diagnostic delivery, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or consent withdrawal where applicable.

Send a privacy request to privacy@werklogs.de. Do not include unrelated project content. The Privacy Policy explains local data, optional service providers, retention, deletion, and your rights.

8. Website and service information

This support page is hosted through Cloudflare at www.werklogs.de/support.html. Website hosting does not give Support access to local WerkLog project data. Privacy details for website delivery are provided in the Privacy Policy.
